Child Had Dizziness, Vomiting, Paleness. Cause?

today my 9 yr old daughter began feeling dizzy, then fainted on the floor, i got her to the restroom (we were at a restaurant when this happened), she grabbed hold of toilet thinking she was going to vomit but didnt, she kept saying she felt dizzy and fell back to the ground again, she was also pale as a ghost, so i wet a paper towel in cool water, and began wiping her forehead and neck , a nurse that was a customer there, put some sugar under her tongue and had her drink orange juice and about an hour later she was feeling a thousand times better. do you know what could have caused that?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
This episode is looking like Syncopal attack which may be Vasovagal Syncope. Is there any history of prolonged standing before to this dizzy episode? Because of prolonged standing blood is redistributed to veins and because of vagal reflex syncope occurs. But consult your Pediatrician to rule out any other syncope mimicking events and their evaluation and management.
