Child Had Diarrhea, Told To Be Stomach Virus And Has Fever, Congested Runny Nose And Vomiting. Suggest?

My son is 11 months old. I took him to the doctor 4 days ago with diarrhea for 2 days but no fever or other symptoms. The said it w as a stomach virus.now he has been running a low grade fever under 101 and is congested with a runny nose and vomited last night I think from drainage and still has diarrhea. Do I need to take him back in or does this just need to run its course

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic
probably it is a case of viral diarrhea
give ORS solution 50ml after each episode of motion or vomiting to prevent dehydration
find out whether he is passing urine in normal amounts and frequency
do not stop feeding the child or give dilute feeds
if urine amount is decreased, child is irritable and very much thirsty better consult a pediatrcian
