Child Diagnosed With Missing Uvula. Hole Visible On Opening Mouth. What Surgery To Undergo?

Hi Doctors,
My 2 month old son is diagnosed with a missing uvula. When viewed closely, with mouth wide open, you can see a small hole of approximately 5mm diameter. I don't know whether this relates to cleft palate. My son is has a very good appetite and is breast fed. Position of feeding is upright and he sometimes throws milk through his nose.
Please guide me the surgery required for missing uvula.

Greetings of the day

It's definitely cleft of soft palate and will require surgical intervention. I suggest you to consult a Pediatric Surgeon/Plastic Surgeon for further management.

Take care
