Child Coughing After Swallowing Hard Candy. Have Flu. What Is The Reason For Cough?

My son 18months son swallowed a piece of hard candy. He was coughing for a bit a gave him some water and a bottle of milk and he seems fine now but every few mins he will cough for abit. I m not sure if the candy is still stuck and if its causing him to cough or bcos of his flu. He s been having flu and phlegm for a few days and has been coughing abit. Other than that he looks fine and is playing

Cough is due to flu and part of ongoing illness he is having.
Do not worry about candy,it is swallowed and will not cause respiratory symptoms.
In case symptoms persist get him evaluated by pediatrician for medication of cough.
