Welcome to HCM.

There are many causes of graying of hair. Graying hair is not always related to ones age.

Nutritional deficiency, stress and Heredity are few of the factors. Washing hair with hot water and drying it with electrical dryer has adverse effects on the hair. Unclean condition of scalp weakens the root of the hair as dirt or oils get accumulated in the scalp. It prevents adequate blood supply to the hair shaft through the root to cause premature graying.

Certain medical conditions like Thyroid imbalance, vitiligo, vitamin B12 deficiency anemia, etc. are said to be associated with premature graying of hair.

Even the recent change in water that is used for bathing might also be the culprit.

It is better to rule out thyroid issue.

I advice you to avoid taking bath in hard water, avoid bathing in very hot water and keep the scalp clean.

If you do want to prevent or reverse your gray hair then you can consult physician about a tablet called Melancor. This is a new product on the market and works in two ways. Firstly when you get gray hair you have a genetically based tendency to produce less melanin as body pigments. Melancor triggers Melanocytes which helps overcome this tendency by increasing you body’s ability to produce melanin pigments.

Hope I have provided the information you needed.
Wish you good health. Take care.
