Cause For Unwillingness To Eat Food

hello my father in law is not eating an losing tons of weight, my husband and sister in law are frustrated because we see him withering away. He has blood in his urine also, congestive heart failure and diabetes. He was seen by his health care provider yesterday and he was all worn out from just going to the appointment. He wont eat, says he cant. I am frustrated here also. He had an upper GI done right after Christmas, that was alright.....any suggestions?

Old age with co-morbid conditions like diabetes, Congestive heart failure, blood in urine ( may indicate severe urinary tract infection), with unwillingness to eat food. This picture is suggesting that he might be suffering from moderate to severe depression which needs specialist tratment as early as possible. Diabetes in old age is statistically more prone for depression. Looking after other possibilities, Congestive heart failure causes difficulty in breating, so may cause difficulty in eating too. Severe urinary tract infection, as its a well known fact that its a catabolic stage so lowers food intake. I think it may help you to come out of the situation.
