Cause For The Pain In The Chest?

I have had pain in my chest lately. I have hypertension but it is mild, around 135/77. I take a mild dosage of meds for it. One day I suddenly had a sharp pain on the chest that felt like a tightening. I also get heartburn and take meds or it. This sudden chest pain was not something I felt before. I often feel some pain and discomfort on my chest. What do you think it is? Where is it coming from?

Hello

Sharp chest pain with occasional tightening shouldn't be taken lightly in hypertensive patient. It is important to rule out cardiopulmonary causes.
You need proper clinical examination and routine investigations.
Investigations include routine hemogram,random blood sugar,lipid profile,liver function test,renal function test,ECG in all leads,ECHO.
Further investigations can be done if needed.
Upper GI endoscopy should also be done to rule out reflux as it may cause similar symptoms.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.

Take Care
