Cause For Pain In The Left Lower Abdomen?

Hi
I've been experiencing a dragging pain / ache in my lower left abdomen for a couple of weeks which seems to be increasing in severity. It is aggravated by walking and relieved slightly when crouched down. I am now experiencing pain during intercourse. Can you advise what it might be? Thanks

Hi. This may be due to pelvic inflammatory disease, wherein one gets inflammation in the pelvic area. Your symptoms are quite classical or it may be a problem with a ovarian cyst.
I would advise such a patient to undergo a clinical examination by Gynecologist and abdominal ultrasonography to assist in proper diagnosis. This scan lead us to a proper course of treatment.
