Cause For Bleeding During Post Menopausal?

I am 53 yrs. old. Had an ablasion in 2007. Within the last mo. occasionally, I ve noticed tinge of blood when I use the bathroom, especially after strenuous exercise. I have a family history of cervical cancer (mother) and ovarian cancer (sister). Appt. with GYN a few days ago and he wants to do laprascopic supracervical hysterectomy within 2 wks. After reading about the risk of transferring cancerous cells during the surgery, I am too nervous to proceed w/o a second opinion. GYN says I should not be bleeding because I am post menopausal. Need advice!

hi,
You need total hysterectomy and not supracervical hysterectomy. Chances of cancer spreading is very less.
