Can You Lose Fingers From A Bad Electrocution?

Can you lose fingers from a bad enough electrocution? If, say.. the nerves were totally fried and ampuation was the best alternative...Because the flesh would be practically dead and useless. I guess it would depend on the voltage. I just want to know if this scenario is possible.
