Can Xopenex Be Taken Even After Having A Heart Attack?

we called my husbands cardiologist to see if it would be ok for him to start reusing xopenex. He was on it b4 his heart attack for shortness of breath. Cardiologist said yes. So, now my husbands breath, and wheezing has become worse, and he is getting symptoms of stuffed up sinus, and cold. Also, I noticed purple veins on the rt side of his front shoulder that I have not seen before. I am worried.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, after reading the history I could say that this may not be cardiac problem, but could be respiratory problem allergic condition need to be rule out, the purple vein that you have noticed this could be due to breathing problem only, constriction of bronchial tree causes such purple vein, I would suggest the following treatment if I would be his doctor
1) Tab. Mentelukast with Levocetrizine twice a day
2) Tab. Azithromycin 500 mg once in day for three days
No need to worry about this, for a safety purpose get done the EKG test, take care of him, good day.
