Can Withdrawal From Depo Shots Cause Brown Vaginal Discharge?

Hi I had gotten off the depo shot almost a year ago due to loss of insurance... and I have been experiencing brown discharge for months now and it is on and off but will not go away and I have yet to have a normal period if there is any advice u could give me that would be great

I appreciate your concern.

please get a physical exam including a speculum exam done via your gynecologist to rule out any local erosions , lesions etc , an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis and vaginal swab for culture should also be done. irregular periods may be a result of the alteration as a result of the discontinued depot shot. please do a home pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. your meds may be changed to oral contraceptive pills course to regularize your menses in consultation with your doctor
