Can Warfarin Cause Stomach Pain?

My husband is having problems keeping his warfarin levels constant. he is now getting a nagging pain in his stomach area, just below the ribs. I have just read the updated information on the warfarin side effects and it says it can cause a problem with the pancreas. He is having an ultrasound scan tomorrow, but the Doctor who is sending him there said nothing about the warfarin being a problem. Is this a problem we need to see a specialist about?

Hello,

Stomach pain is a possible side effect of warfarin and generally, a good check is needed if this happens.
Your husband needs to let his doctor know about this as soon as possible.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
