Can Unprotected Intercourse After Stopping Pills Causes A Pregnancy?

I was having really irregular periods lasting up to three weeks at a time with only a week break in between, and went to my doctor about it. She thinks that i was having dysfunctional uterine bleeding so she put me on provera 10mg for ten days to stop my period. She also said when my period starts back up again to start taking micronor, the birth control she prescribed me for my high blood pressure. my period never stopped so i called her and she said to start the birth control anyways. I had unprotected sex 7 days after starting the pill, and stopped taking the pill all together 15 days after starting because of side effects. Could i be pregnant? if so, what are the chances?

In this instance, your best bet of knowing whether you are pregnant or not is by visiting your doctor to evaluate you and run some laboratory test. Birth control pills act by preventing ovulation, and they work best when you take the pills throughout the cycle. So, your irregular cycle with partial completion of birth control pills makes any deductions difficult. So visit your gynecologist office and have them evaluate you for pregnancy
