Hello,

You are having chronic tonsillitis. For pain and inflammation, you can take Ibuprofen BD for five days. Avoid excess spicy foods.

Salt water gargle done with warm water three times a day. Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily. Betadine dilute gargle can be done.

If needed before any treatment throat swab can be taken for culture. If no improvement and recurrent tonsillitis, then tonsil needs to be removed. Also, consult otorhinolaryngologist for examination and discuss your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
