Can Teething Cause Fever And Stuffed Nose In Babies?

My 10 month old is teething. He's got 5 teeth through and hasn't had any problems with them as far as fussiness, runny nose, fever, etc. Today he has become very fussy with a fever of 100.8 and extremely stuffy with a runny nose. He woke up from his sleep just a little bit ago so we checked in temperature which it is still at 100.8, but he was shivering quite a bit. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hello. I just read through your question. It is true that teething can often be accompanied by low grade fever and/or runny nose. However, if these symptoms persist beyond 2-3 days, I recommend consulting with your doctor, just as a precaution.
