General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

R-cinex 600 is a combination of rifampicin and isoniazid. Along with pyricontin (pyridoxine/vitamin B6) and combutol 800 (ethambutol) they are commonly prescribed for the eradication of tuberculosis.

These medications do not cause any harmful effects in the fetus (growing baby) and hence considered to be safe during pregnancy so there is no need to worry about it.

Further, you are advised to consult your treating doctor for a possible increase in the dose of thyronorm as early as possible so as to maintain TSH goal level of less than 2.5 in first trimester of pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
