Can Stuttering And Migraines Be A Result Of Anxiety?

Hi i have been experiencing neurological issues for a few months and my doctor thinks its somehow related to my anxiety disorder, i dont believe it is at all related. I have been experiencing uncontrollable body twitching and spasms in my legs, lips and neck, i have been having spells of confusion and they have become more frequent i have started stuttering and messing up words. constant migraines and extreme pain in my legs like they are on fire. Do you think this could be related to anxiety cause i do not.

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

The symptom like uncontrollable body twitches or tics, spasms in legs, lips etc, spells of confusion etc could occur due to anxiety. Stuttering and confusion of words can be aggravated by anxiety. Due to anxiety persons may fail to talk fluently and may stammer. I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist for treatment of anxiety and stammering.
Medicines like SSRIs as fluoxetine, sertraline etc are commonly used to decrease anxiety. Propranolol can also be used to reduce the anxiety symptoms and to reduce the attacks of migraine. Propranolol is used for prophylaxis of migraine.

Other than medicines also try relaxation exercise, yoga, mediation etc.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
