Can Stress Fractures Cause Pitting Edema?

I have been having intermittent pitting Adema along the medial aspect of my left lower leg for probably the last 2 to 3 months. I have a trip he did to a possible stress fracture her due to the recent increase in activity at that time at the gym. However I m starting to wonder if putting Adema is associated with the stress fracture. I have reduced activity and limited my way faring since onset but it still was unchanged

Hello,

A stress fracture can cause edema.

As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
