Can Stopping Acne Medicine Cause Fluttering In Chest?

I am 16. My chest has been feeling fluttery whenever I am at rest for the past week or so. It s really starting to bother me. My mom said we would give it another week since my diet has been extremely messed up since Christmas Eve. But it s not like every once in a while like a heart murmur. It almost feels like a shortness of breath or something. I have accidentally stopped taking an acne medication that I have been on for many months just because my routine since Christmas has been weird. I don t know if my body is reacting to that? I have never even tasted alcohol, drugs, or cigarettes.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. No stopping of acne medicines can not cause fluttering sensation in chest.
Fluttering sensation in chest is commonly seen in arrhythmia (rhythm disturbances in heart). So better to first rule out heart diseases in your case.
So get done ecg, 2d echo and Holter monitoring (24 hour continuous monitoring of ecg).
If all these are normal then no need to worry for arrhythmia.
Sometimes stress and tension can also cause similar symptoms.
So avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. Don't worry, you will be alright. But first rule out arrhythmia.
