Hello welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Hypertension if remains uncontrolled has Longterm complications of heart, kidneys and other body system. So keep it under 140/90 should be our primary target.

My advice to you is -

1. Stomach problems can cause rise in blood pressure temporarily but not to the extent you have mentioned. Rather stomach problem may be secondary to uncontrolled hypertension.

2 . Ask your doctor about 24 hrs ambulatory blood pressure monitors. They are excellent in recording blood pressure for a day at home (it is a small device you can carry at home) Your doctor will get perfect idea whether your blood pressure fluctuates significantly or not.

3.Go for your routine blood tests like CBC, lipid profile, thyroid profile and blood sugar levels.
Also you should do Renal doppler study to rule out kidney diseases.

4.Regular medicines, excessive fruits and vegetables and daily brisk walking if very important in maintaining blood pressure at normal levels.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
