Can Steroid Injection For Chronic Cough Cause Increased Heart Rate, Breathing Difficulty, High BP And Joint Pain?
I had a steroid injection in my rear today for a cough that won't go away. I also have proximal atrial fibrulation. My son wanted to play Wii boxing. The result was bad heart pounding and shortness of breath. 10 min later my bp was 168 over 88. Still feel off. Can this be related to the shot. I also developed Lower back and leg joint pain a couple hours after the shot.
Hello.Increased blood pressure, increased glucose levels and fluid retention are the most common side effects of steroid injection.Although these side effects disappear in a few days, as you have atrial fibrillation, it is important that your doctor will check you during the next days.I wish you good health.
