Can Shortness Of Breath And Swelling In Testicles Relate To Congested Heart Failure ?

if one is admitted him self in a hospital due to shortness of breath and swelling of the testicles. a doctor admits him in the hospital and is placed on oxygen for having to much carbon dioxide in the lungs and says that the individual has congested heart failler what are they trying to do?

Thanks for your question on HCM. Yes it can happen in congestive cardiac failure (CCF). CCF is condition in which heart fails to circulate blood. So due to back pressure, there is accumulation of fluid in everywhere. Starting from feet( swollen feet), in abdomen (ascites), in lungs (pulmonary edema), pleural cavity (pleural effusion) etc. Rarely scrotum as dependent part of the body can have fluid collection and thus swelling. So in CCF pulmonary edema can cause breathlessness and fluid overload can cause scrotal swelling.
