Can Pungent Smelling Armpit And Migraine Be Anyhow Related In A 8 Yr Old Boy?

My son has a pungent, onion-smelling armpit odor that started when he was 5 years old. About this same time he started having migraines that were almost always accompanied by nausea and vomiting. He is 8 years old now and still has the body odor and migraines approx 2-4 times a month His pediatrician disregarded the body odor and is treating the headaches as if they are related to allergies... just curious if we could be missing something bigger?

Hi,

I have gone through the medical data of your son and understood your concerns.

Apart normal body odor, I'd suggest to consult with his pediatrician to rule out other health problems:
- Trimethylaminuria
- diabetes
- thyroid problems
- kidney problems
- systemic infections

If everything is ok, then, should keep a good hygiene of his body and to make him wear tight clothes or non-cottony clothes.
