Can Pregnancy Be The Cause For Delay In Periods?

I was supposed to start my period the middle of december and i still have not started yet. I have been having my usual syptoms (breast and underarm swelling and tenderness, stomach and back cramps, irritability, and constant migraine) for the past 3 weeks, give or take a day or two. Every month my period is a few days to a week later than the month before, but i have never had symptoms for this long and not started. So i guess im just wondering if its possible to have a period but not bleed, should i give it a few more days, or could i be pregnant?

Welcome to HealthcareMagic,
Menstrual period bleeding should occur with every cycle even if it is irregular. When period are missed or delayed then the reason for it needs to be evaluated. If you had unprotected sexual intercourse then it may be possible that you are pregnant. My advise for you is to wait for 1 week for you to get your menstrual period. If you get your period then you are not pregnant. But if you do not get your periods even after 1 week then do a early morning sample urine pregnancy test to know about your pregnancy status. Hope that answers your question.
Have a good day. Regards, Dr.Imaad.
