Can Playing Golf And Tennis Increase Chances Of Getting An Inguinal And Umbilical Hernia?

Can playing tennis and golf cause either an inguinal or imbilical hernia? In other words, do playing golf and tennis increase one's chance of getting an inguinal or imbilical hernia? If one plays golf and tennis, how does one minimize the chances of getting a hernia? Are there exercises that one should do which decreases the chances of getting a hernia? Thanks!

hi,dear.Yes playing golf and tennis can increase chances of developing hernia, bcoz whenever we do any strenous activity it raises pressure in the abdominal cavity thats why it results in hernia.as our age advances our abdominal muscles become weak and lax so as the chances to develop hernia, due to any surgical procedure on abdomen having long incisions also a risk for developing hernia.so to avoid this always do some warm up before exercise before playing any game and add some abdominal strengthning exercises to your daily workout.
