Can Plan B Pills Gives Abnormal Reading During Biopsy?

Hi, I was sent to a obgyn to do a biopsy as I had low grade abnormal cells and I did not realize I needed to tell him I took Plan B 3 days prior to the test. Will my results be abnormal? He also told me to refrain from intercourse for 5 days after so I did for 8 days and now I am reading it should have been 15 days? Which is correct?

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Plan B is not likely to effect cervical biopsy results. You should not worry about that issue.
Follow your doctors advice about abstinence as the duration depends upon the type & site of biopsy. Your doctor knows what is required in your case. So, his or her advise should be final for you.
Hope all turns out to be normal.
Take care.
