Can Panic Attacks Cause Left Chest And Breathing Pain?
I'm nineteen years old and have really bad anxiety .. with asthma on top of it. but after getting into an argument with my boyfriend .. i had a severe pain on the upper left side on my chest .. kind of under the arm pit but not really .. like on the corner .. and it hurt when i breathed in and out .. i was just wondering if it was just a panic attack?
I understand that you are worried by your chest pain occurring in the background of an anxiety disorder. Now, it is very common for anxiety to present with physical symptoms like chest discomfort, difficulty in breathing, etc.
However, considering the fact that your pain is acute and sharp and the fact that you have asthma, it is necessary that other medical conditions such as a lung pathology should be ruled out. So, I would advise you to see a doctor and get yourself examined in order to ensure that everything is okay physically. If so, then you can practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing, yoaga, progressive muscle relaxation, etc.
