Can Osteopenia Cause Back Ache And Low Grade Fever?

I have low grade fever for past around 2 wks and severe back ache and bone pain , dexa scan suggested that I have osteopenia... I had Vit D3 deficiency as well. If I bend , my backbone pains so much that I just cant stand straight after that and these days fever comes at that time. wht could be the reason /

Hi,

You have mentioned that you have low grade fever going on since 2 weeks with back pain. Now, this fever needs to be checked out with blood tests, blood culture and urine tests. That is we need to know if there is any other cause for this fever like urinary infection or any other infection.

You may have osteopenia and low vitamin D but this cannot cause fever. A back problem causing fever means there is bone infection of the spine or discs. For this you will need an MRI and bone scan. Please get checked out with your doctor.
