Can One Get Pregnant While On IUD?
I am a 23 year old female. I am on the birthcontrol IUD Mirana. I am having problems with tiredness, urinating a lot, hungry all the time, and my lower stomach is firmer. I had a c section with my son and he is 2 1/2 now. I have been on the mirana for about 2 years. I was wondering if there would be a chance of me being pregnant.

Of course IUD's are a contraceptive method, but no contraception other than tubectomy and vascetomy are close to 100% effective in protecting from conception. So yes ma'am, it certainly is possible.
If at all you are pregnant, you will have to report to your doctor at the earliest for immediate removal of the IUD.
