Can Multiple Myeloma Or Antibiotics Effect Tooth Enamel?

I have been diagnoses with multiple myeloma in Nov,2014. Up till now no chemo as I have an infection on my chest. I have been on an antibiotic protocol 3 days a week...2 azithromycin,3 ethambutol, 2 rifadin. It has been 6 weeks since I started and I notice my tooth enamel is eroding and there are patches of black. Have not seen my dentist yet? Any connection between tooth enamel and antibiotics or multiple myeloma?Thanks

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . Yes antibiotics are known to cause discoloration of teeth.Multiple myeloma in not known to cause any discoloration.

I would suggest you to consult your general practitioner and dentist to find out the solution .Doctor may prescribe you alternate medicine or readjust your dose . Dentist may perform procedure like bleaching or prescribe tooth whitening medicated toothpaste according to your condition.
