Can Missed Contraceptive Pills Cause Pregnancy?

Hi I have been on the microgynon contraceptive pill for 5 years and never had a problem. i went away for 2 days (wed and thursday) and forgot to take my pills with me. When i got back i took the next pill in the pack (friday - leaving the other 2) that was the last pill of that cycle. Im now on my 7 day break. I then was 2 days late coming on my period and it is only very light period; no cramping. I did a pregnancy teat and it cane back as negative. Could i still be pregnant?

hi,its very unlikely for you to be pregnant as the urine preganncy test kits are highly sensitive these days and you have had periods though lighter than usual.the pills are known to decrease the amount of menstrual blood loss so this is not a matter of concern.ideally you must remember to take your pills daily and if u miss a pill once in a monthly cycle then to take two pills the next day.take care.
