Can Medication For Diabetes Be Taken Along With Medication For Elevated BP?

I need some advice, I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and they put me on metformin, however i had been previously put on lisinopril 10mg for my blood pressure but i stopped taking it couple months ago. today my heart feels weird so I checked my bp. and its at 139/99 with heart rate of 90. Can I take both these medicines together?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your Blood pressure is high so you should continue taking lisinopril as before. You can take both metformin and lisinopril. There is no interaction between these drugs. Lisinopril in addition from controlling BP and protecting heart it has an action of protecting kidneys in diabetics.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
