Can Male Pattern Baldness Be Treated?

Can male pattern baldness be treated? I m suffering from 3rd stage male baldness. Minoxidil did not work out. Doctor told that I will have to wait for the 9th stage to come for getting a hair transplant. It will take 5-6 years for attaing 9th stage baldness. I m only 19. Do I really have to wait this long? Even if I wait, will I get 100 percent results?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If minoxidil fails, transplant will be the only option. The best results will be evident in the ninth stage and it will be better to wait for a few years.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
