Can Malaria Treatment Be Stopped In Between The Course?

My sister's flight to India was cancelled today due to weather. She started taking a malaria prevention pill yesterday(12/25), is it safe for her to stop the pill and start taking it again tomorrow? The pill was supposed to be taken 1 day before travel, throught travel, and 7 days after. I believe the name of the drug is Malorone. Thanks for your help.

Hi thanks for asking question in HCM.
yes you can stop the drug and just take it 1 day before your confirmed travel date.Just one day duration of taking drug will not lead to resistance or any other symptoms.
So now take it when flight date confirmed.
This drug is antimalarial drug containing atovaquone + proguanil.
I hope i have solve your query.
Thanks.
