Can Local Anesthesia Cause Nausea And Indigestion?

I had a lesion removed yesterday afternoon, local anaesthetic. Ended up with a terrible case of indigestion after my dinner last night. Feeling nausea now (the next morning). Have only taken 2 Panamax, so don t think that s the problem. Could the local anaesthetic be responsible for the indigestion?

Hi and thank you so much fr this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this indigestion. This would be highly unlikely as local anesthetics do not cause this. However, I will suggest that you monitor the evolution of these symptoms as they would most likely abate. Once in a while, we do come down with non specific symptoms like indigestion and I have reasons to suggest this was just a coincidence and not caused by the local anesthesia. These symptoms would go away sooner than later.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.
Thanks.
