Can Liquid Medication For Graves Disease Replace Thyroid Meds?
If someone has Graves disease how can they not be on Thyroid meds after taking a liquid dose of medication to stop the Thyroid. I have Graves disease and was given a radioactive iodine pill. Now I take Thyroid meds which I m told will be for the rest of my life. I met a co worker who also has Graves disease and was given an orange liquid (not sure what) and it killed the thyroid but she no longer takes Thyroid meds. How is this possible.

Usually radioactive iodine is efficient in Graves disease treatment. If it resulted inefficient, another dose may be given or surgical removal of thyroid may be suggested. So you need to discus with your physician about the 2 alternatives.
