i have had severe night chills and some sweating every night and when I wake up for the last five weeks. I remember it started with Bronichitis so I didn't think much of it. Then I took myself off duagesic patch three weeks ago and thought it what that. I have had chest xray, tested for mono, TB, hormones, thyroid, hiv. The tests came back that I had high white blood cell count and high inflamation. Other than a mild headache the only other symptoms is chills all night and sometimes a hot flash. It's so bad I only get a couple of hours of sleep and its taking its toll. I was prescribed leviquin today just to see if it kills off something. I'm 40, 5"3 and 200 pounds. The only medication change besides the duragesic patch is that I stopped taking piroxicam and changed to naxproxen 500 mg's once a day for chronic neck pain. What would be next steps to figure this out? infectious diesease doctor, body scan??
