Around thanksgiving my period lasted like 10days then I started spotting I had the it got heavy again I had some clotting then it got lighter and lighter and now is like an orange spotting what should I do I been to the ER twice and they keep saying everything looks ok
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Mirena contains progesterone which has the side effect of irregular spotting. However, it is not known to cause heavy menstrual bleeding. It can be due to hormonal disturbances or due to infection or endometriosis or any other pathology in the uterus. You should get properly examined by an OBGYN specialist and investigated including hormonal profile, ultrasound and pap smear and get properly treated. Hope you found the answer helpful.
