Can I Take Advil Or Tylonel For Headache Along With Betahistine Dihydroc ?

I am an 18 year old female who has recently been diagnosed with positional vertigo. With this, I am very dizzy even while laying down, I have a killer head ache that wont go away, and the medication ( betahistine dihydroc 16mg ) makes me feel sick to my stomach even when I take it with food. My main question here, is am I aloud to advil or tylonel with this medication to get some relief of this head ache ?!

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would say that there is no contraindication in taking these drugs together.

But I would like to recommend you to perform some tests with the aim of excluding any possible brain cause underlying your symptoms.

You should consult with a neurologist for a careful physical examination and perform routine blood tests for inflammation and a brain CT scan .

There are some maneuvers to help you deal with positional vertigo. And there are also other treatment options, which can have less side effects on you.
I advise you to discuss with the ENT specialist on this options.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Aida
