dear sir , i mr.singaravelan working as a senior physiotherapist, need some clarification , my patient 20 years old 7 month pregnant lady having stroke due to mitral stenosis with mitral regurgitation , can i proceed the physiotherapy as like the regular stroke management
Sure you can and you should, rehabilitation of stroke patients whether pregnant or not is a vital part of their recovery and is best initiated during the early stages. I have personally monitored physiotherapy sessions for stroke patients and there is nothing harmful about it that could affect pregnancy in any possible way, please proceed and best of luck.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
