Can Headaches, Nausea And Excessive Sweating Be An Allergic Reaction To An Air Conditioner?

I work at a small manufacturing company, we just had a new air conditioning unit installed, that same day , at least half of our staff hav had headaches and nausea and sweat more than normal. Could it be related to the AV unit?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Whether, it may contain molds in it or legionella bacteria lives in air conditioning rooms. But it may take 2-3 days to get symptoms but you people developed immediately means that you may exposed to some allergen etc. Better to stop it fumigate the room. Take anti allergy medications, if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You people may have developed cold allergy, it may lead to mold exposure or Legionnaires' infection etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Stop air conditioner.
