What Causes Excessive Sweating And Fainting After Eating Elderberry Jam?

Wondering if I had an allergic reaction from sampling elderberry jam. skin was clammy, broke out in a sweat, passed out, was incoherant . I thought it was a blood sugar issue, but emt checked it, I had chest x-rays, blood work and everything was negative at ER.

It’s most probably an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients in elderberry jam. The chemicals in the raw fruit similar to cyanide which can trigger reactions like this. So better avoid consuming in the future as your symptoms suggest it could be a severe anaphylactic-like reaction. It could be a life-threatening emergency if it affects your breathing.
