Can Having Unilateral Hearing Loss With History Of Hearing Loss In Family Mean Acoustic Neuroma?
I have unilateral hearing loss that will require me to have a hearing aid (at least one). I had an MRI on Friday to check for acoustic neuroma. My father had hearing loss that was much worse in one ear, and the three grandparents I had who lived past 60 all had hearing aids. In general, what are my odds of having a neuroma?

You say you had an MRI , which might have proved or ruled out that your have an Acoustic Neuroma or not.
You are the most probable candidate to have an Acoustic Neuroma.
Get checked well and early detection and proper surgery can save your hearing loss.
You have to care for your children too as they too can have this problem, a suffering of lifelong / hearing aid for lifetime.
