Can Haemorrhoid In Labia Majora Be Interrelated With Persistent Cough? Is Treatment Through Steroids Not Sufficient?

HI. I have just discovered a haemorroid in my labia majora. Im familiar with them as I had them when I was pregnant with my second child, she is almost 3 now and Im definitely not pregnant at the moment. I have had a persistant cough which I recently was treated with antibiotics and steroids for (asthma also) but the cough hasnt fully gone away. I had some pelvic floor issues because of coughing so much and while that has now resolved, this haemorroid is a new thing, I was wondering if it could be associated with coughing so much, with the pressure, and if I should go back to my doctor about it

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. In my opinion the cause of your hemorrhoid in labia is pregnancy as during pregnancy people will develop it due to pressure. But as it has been not resolved the cause of it is your cough which increases the pressure continuously not giving chance for hemorrhoid to decrease. I suggest you to consult your treating doctor and have chest xray done to rule out lung pathologies. Until and unless you dont find the reason of your cough it will be hard to get rid of those hemorrhoids. Thank you.
