Can Gastritis Affect The Release Of Concerta Leading To Tachycardia?

Hi I have gastritis and am also on concerta but since it has flared up my concerta doesn't seem to be working at all. I get tachycardia early after taking it and dry mouth all day but the concerta doesn't seem to be doing anything. Can the gastritis affect the realease of concerta?

Hi,

If the tachycardia is a matter of concern then it may some time happens due to some inflammatory process and it can be physiological like sinus tachycardia condition. This needs to be ruled out for cardiac disease else it is nothing to worry if this is due to gastritis or due to the release of concerta.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
