Can Fetal Heart Resume After Stopping For A While?

Hi I am 9 weeks pregnant. There was no heartbeat with enlarged yolk sac and few days smaller size fetus at 6 weeks 5 days. At 7 weeks 5 days, there was heartbeat 118 per min with few days smaller size but still big yolk sac. At 8week 5days, no more heartbeat and fetus size in 12mm. I was told that baby stopped growing 3-4 days ago based on size. Also, yolk size is too big. Dr. Told me that it s not viable 100 percent and want to do d&c. Is it possible that baby heart restart and resume growing?

Hi, thanks for writing.. i understand your concern..
Once the cardiac activity is absent, it is unlikely to appear again. What your doctor advised was right. It would be better to go for a D and C.Once the cardiac activity appears at 7 weeks and disappeared at 8 weeks, it is a missed abortion. Nothing can be done in this pregnancy to save the baby, In the next preg you can get APLA ND START TAKING ASPIRIN AS SOON AS CARDIAC ACTIVITY APPEARS. Hope I have answered your query. Feel free to ask any doubts through http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-dalia-muraleedharan/68596. Good day.
