Can Exposure To Asbestos Cause Skin Cancer?
I know a person that was an engineer specialist on the USS Mitchell during World War II. This person has multiple myeloma shin cancer on the right side of his upper and lower face and head. The USS Mitchell had asbestos in the making of the ship. Could exposure to the asbestos in the power plant room cause his skin cancer?

Asbestos causes mesothelioma is a fairly rare form of cancer that most often affects the thin linings of the organs in the chest (pleura) and abdomen (peritoneum).
It also causes cancers of the lungs, larynx (voice box) and ovaries.
It does not cause skin cancer.
