Can Etova 400 Cause Any Side Effects For Long Term Use?

my wife age 61 hight 5ft 3 inches weight 51 kg is suffering from Rhumotide Artraitise sine last 18 year. deformity in both anckles. taking homiopathy medicines. along with that taking prednisolan 0.50 mg and calpol650 twicw a day.Now Dr. prescribed etova 400 to replace calpol650 due to constant pains in all joints. is their any side effect if etova 400 are taken twice a day for a long period ?

Hi,

Etova contains etodolac which is used to treat pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and acute pain. Side effects of Etova for a long period are nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, GIT upset, indigestion, heartburn, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, breathing difficulties, allergic reactions etc.
