Hi dear and thanks for your query. As the name implies enterococci are found in the gut flora where they are usually harmless commensals and infection often follows from fecal contamination. I would suggest you to have second vaginal swab (taken by health care practitioner),because it may be positive as you may have taken from touch of your gut. Hence have a second vaginal swab to confirm /exclude infection. Than contact with your follow up doctor because Entercoccous is not treated during pregnancy but it should be treated intrapartum if you will be positive till the end of pregnancy,if you will have vaginal delivery. Hence for the moment there is no need to treat it because it doesn t harm you and your baby. All the best
